Deep Sea Fishing off St Lucia

Deep Sea Fishing off the Coast of St Lucia

A day spent deep sea fishing brought more than fun, it brought catching a 50 pound Blue Marlin!!! Being out on the ocean way beyond the sight of land, the small fishing boat rolling up and over the waves made it all the more exciting. It was good to get back to sight of land with the mountains on the island peeking over the horizon on our way back to the island. If you are ever in the Caribbean and have the opportunity, I highly recommend going on a deep sea fishing excursion!

St Lucia is a volcanic island known for its beaches, rain forests, turquoise waters, and the beautiful Piton mountains. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hikers can enjoy the views, wildlife, and a variety of flora on the lush mountains. Mineral-rich mud pools, thermal baths, and sulfur springs are reminders of the island’s volcanic origins. The beauty continues under the sea, where divers and snorkelers can see coral, colorful tropical fish, and sea turtles, or go on open water excursions as well as deep sea fishing trips for half a day to the whole day.
