Peggy's Cove Lighthouse and fishing community sits on top of these smooth granite rocks, which were carved over 400-million years by a receding and migrating glaciers, plate tectonics movement, weather, ocean waves.
Peggy’s Cove is a small community 43 kilometers from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. What started in the 1800s as a fishing village is now a tourist attraction famous for its weathered rocks and lighthouse overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Almost 500,000 people visit Peggy’s Cove every year.
While this is great photo opportunity for unique scenes, it is also a wonderful place to visit for history buffs. A short drive away is St John’s Bay which has numerous places to see and do, and where you can also find the Titanic cemetery and story - visit the graves of those who did not survive, including the grave stone of Jack Dawson
